In the Darkest Time
The Light is Greater
by Carolyn Williams

My Story
I thank the Lord for the gift He has given me to express myself through words of Love, Hope and Faith.
Some of the poems you will read were written about 20 years ago. You see, I have learned to walk by faith and never give up.
Learning to walk by faith assured me my God never fails and I’m never alone. To all those who are walking or have walked in dark places, hold on… the Light will guide you out of the darkness.

Excerpts from the book below
LOVE
Your love was like sunshine
In the rain
No matter how dark it was
You always brightened up the day
I wrote LOVE for my Mom who passed away. She was my best friend and always told me to never give up. My Mom was one of the first black women to start her own business in Tampa, FL
The book is beautiful Carolyn. Your words opened up much for me to reflect on and think about. Your book will be a success for sure.
FAITH
Great Pain, Great Gain
My trials were hard
But through every pain
There was gain
As kids we learned how to ride our bikes by falling down. So do we in life; sometimes it is through suffering that we learn life’s lessons and, like riding our bikes, we fall down, but we always get up.
The Lord’s timing is perfect. What a great message for today! I love it.
HOPE
Tina’s Letter
To whom it may concern:
Hi, my name is Tina.
May have seen me on the street,
And didn’t know my name.
I’m the type you never want to meet.
When you see me, you walk on the other side.
Our heart would break if we heard some of the stories of people we pass by every day. I believe if we knew their stories, we’d walk on their side. How many Tina’s do you pass by every day?
